the best thing you can do is find an active guild, so you will almost always have somebody competent to do missions with. if you are not getting the expansion, dont worry, because prophecies remains the "big" story, and there will always be people buying it, and people who dont want or cant buy factions

I have minor concern on this matter. Since Anet is preparong with the late updates. One in particular caught my eye. The drops rates have been drastically reduced..but the quality is increased..? What the hell is up with that? Even if you increase the quality if there is no good drop rate then itsa worthless update. The nerfing of the MM also caught my eye. Since now my MM is on its last leg. But enough on that. It seems as though the newer players to GW and GW:F will just have to make due as best they can. I myself only being a 2 monther..Have been able to keep up with things. I have rough spots after buying my superior runes for my upcoming 55 monk but things will get better even though this update will slow things down due to drop rates. I'm just concerned on the fact that the "richer" folk of GW are really putting a squeez on the noobs with the pricing of items and the release of the new. I mean..Victo's Battle Axe has been changed to 20/20...If i'm not wrong. What about the players whom own the old version? Will it be upgraded automatically? Or remain a 10/10..If so then the price and demand will decrease dramatically. and those whom bought say for 20k now its worth only 10k- have really lost a major source of income to keep up with the ever increasing market. In this factor, noobs will be left in the dust unless they can come across luck and find great items. And sell them for a price best fitting. There will be players who stick with GW and now move to Factions so there will not be much of a change in the long run. Just suck it up and hold on.

As I said in another post... people will eventually get bored with Factions.. as people get bored. It's human nature. Many will go back and forth between Tyria and Cantha.

To the OP: Count your blessings - with most of the hardcore players diverted to Factions, you can play through Prophecies with fellow noobs as if it were a brand new game...with less trade spam!

If only this would be true... For quite some time, I still see LA and Forge being the major WTS/WTB trading posts in the game. The only thing that will ever reduce the trade spam will be an auction house of some sort. But even then, you'll still have people spamming WTS/WTB in the local and trade channels, just to be annoying. A reduction in trade spam would be nice. People could actually talk *gasp* in the towns/outposts! Remember what that was like?

I can't answer really..MMO's have an addictive nature I guess..which for some reason makes you keep playing. And also, I can't even get around to get things done for my characters, let alone other peoples'. (not always true though)

Anywayyy, another reason for staying in GW:P for a iittle while would be farming..maybe thats been mentioned, but the better farming spots won't be immediatedly discovered in GW:F for a while, so for now I'll stick to my usual stuff. That, and people who didn't go through the game yet with a new character would be another reason to stay, at least for a while.
